Cricket South Africa (CSA) has confirmed the venues for the upcoming 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup, which will be co-hosted with Namibia and Zimbabwe. CSA views this tournament as a significant chance to broaden cricket's appeal and participation throughout Southern Africa, while also highlighting the region's vibrant cultural heritage through a uniquely African event experience. The initiative aims to introduce cricket to less traditional areas, aligning with CSA's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
Together with the host nations, CSA is now dedicated to organizing a bold and cohesive event across various cities, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, East London, and Paarl, where a total of 44 matches will take place. Additionally, Zimbabwe and Namibia will host 10 matches.

The board has also introduced the Local Organising Committee Board (LOCB) for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027, led by Independent Chairman Trevor Manuel.
Manuel, who has a strong background in government leadership, is known for his expertise in economic reform and national development planning. His leadership is expected to bring the necessary discipline and strategic insight to both sports and board governance.
A Historic Return for South Africa
Manuel's team includes six Independent Non-Executive Directors, five Non-Independent Non-Executive Directors, and three Ex-Officio members, forming a comprehensive Board.
As the 2027 event approaches, the Board is tasked with creating an unforgettable Cricket World Cup that embodies CSA's vision. The Board members bring extensive knowledge in various fields, including finance, education, law, and strategic planning.
"It has been 24 years since the last ICC Cricket World Cup was held on African soil. The 2027 tournament presents a unique opportunity to attract new fans while engaging existing ones through digital innovation, connecting with both the African continent and the global audience," stated CSA President, Rihan Richards.
CSA Board Chairperson, Pearl Maphoshe, emphasized, "Our vision is to host a globally inspiring event that reflects the diversity, inclusivity, and unity of South Africa. The tournament will be distinct in its style and atmosphere, offering players, fans, and partners an unforgettable experience."
